What’s the purpose of the CNO?

< All Topics

To train dental professionals to become outlier practitioners, utilizing novel, objective, reproducible, and scientifically validated diagnostic and treatment protocols designed to vastly improve their practice. To disseminate objective and reproducible knowledge and treatment protocols pertaining to occlusion (the bite), TMD, and the neurology involved between them. Removing as much subjectivity as possible, the CNO strives to arrive at a proper working diagnosis before implementing treatment, unlike many other traditional occlusal and TMD protocols that are used to treat occlusal and TMD conditions, which are typically lacking adequate diagnostics and quantifiable and reproducible endpoints regarding treatment. Though initially formed to disseminate occlusal and TMJ/D diagnostic and treatment protocols, over the years the CNO Board has decided to branch out into other realms, geared towards a more novel “holistic” approach to the practice of dental medicine, offering topics which are not offered in any other mainstream teaching org. This is by design, geared towards empowering the practitioner to free her or himself from the auspices of insurance dependence, allowing she or he instead to chose to practice in an independent, private practice setting, for the benefit of not only the practice owner, but most importantly, for the benefit of their patients. The curriculum now includes laser dentistry, blood products, exosomes, sympathetics in orofacial practice, ozone, nuclear medicine and much, much more!
