Neural Occlusion Screening (NOS) is very different from traditional diagnostic philosophies, plus it invalidates traditional thinking regarding occlusion and TMD as is typically taught and practiced in dental medicine. As with all new concepts, it is resisted initially by most for political, academic, financial, and even egotistical reasons.
